At TargetMassage.co.uk we are committed to safeguarding and preserving the privacy of our visitors.

This Privacy Policy explains what happens to any personal data that you provide to us, or that we collect from you whilst you visit our site.

We do update this Policy from time to time so please do review this Policy regularly.

Changes are being made on how we will be handling your data to comply with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

New Data Protection Legislation is coming in to force in the UK on 25th May 2018. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is EU wide legislation, and is currently being enacted into UK law and will become the 2018 Data Protection Act.

Information We Collect

The personal data we collect on you will include information relating to your name, address, date of birth, and wider contact details. We will also collect data via your treatment notes which may include information about any relevant health or disability issues. We only collect and retain personal information in order to provide you with a service such as Sports and Remedial Massage or Soft Tissue Therapy.

If you make a booking online or phone us to make a booking we are required to ask for your name, date of birth, address and postcode in order to maintain a professional record of your treatment.

We will ask for a telephone number in order to contact you in case of emergency or if we need to cancel or change your booking time.

This data is potentially shared with third parties such as the clinics within which you are seen: The Coach House clinic, Lavender Heal, Pilatesfit at Vinery Rd Studios, One Life Training or Penn Farm Physio, your GP or with your healthcare provider. You will have been notified of our intention to do this first (except if the data was relevant in an emergency situation).

We will also ask for your email address in order to provide you with appointment confirmations, reminders and receipts. You may choose not to opt into this service.

Personal data will not be kept for longer than is necessary.
We will retain your data and treatment notes for 8 years after your last treatment as specified by our Professional Indemnity Insurers.
In the case of minors records will be kept for 7 years after they reach the age of 18, i.e. until their 25th birthday or until their 26th birthday if the client was 17 when the treatment ended.

If you have previously purchased goods or services from us we may provide to you details of similar goods or services, or other goods and services, that you may be interested in.
